Led the design vision for Cohut, a platform transforming cohort-based learning. Designed the entire user experience and developed a comprehensive design system, ensuring a smooth and efficient development process.

Project Goal
Cohut aimed to revolutionize cohort-based learning by simplifying the process of creating and managing online programs. However, the challenge lay in balancing a rich feature set with a user-friendly interface that catered to both creators and learners.
Deliverables
I meticulously crafted a comprehensive set of deliverables, including user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, to guide the development process. A cornerstone of the project was the creation of a robust design system, encompassing a library of over 290 meticulously designed components, styles, and comprehensive guidelines.
Research
Conducted thorough research on existing cohort-based learning platforms to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
User-Centered Design
Focused on creating a seamless and intuitive user journey for both creators and learners, considering their needs and pain points at each stage.
Lean Approach
Adapted to the tight two-month timeline by prioritizing core features and iterating on the design based on feedback and changing requirements.

I created a comprehensive design system, including a color palette, typography, and component library, to ensure consistency throughout the platform.

Worked closely with engineers, providing detailed design specifications and addressing their questions to ensure smooth and efficient development.
Overcoming Challenges:
The Cohut project presented a unique set of challenges. Balancing simplicity with functionality was crucial, which I addressed by prioritizing core features and adopting a modular design approach.Furthermore, the project experienced a mid-project shift in focus, requiring a rapid adaptation of the design and timeline. I successfully navigated this challenge by prioritizing flexibility and maintaining open communication with stakeholders.One of the initial design decisions for the Cohut dashboard involved a hover effect for the sidebar, allowing it to expand and collapse on interaction. However, due to engineering limitations, we had to adapt this approach. Through collaborative discussions with the engineering team, we explored alternative solutions and ultimately implemented a click-based interaction, ensuring the functionality remained intuitive while maintaining the project's overall timeline.
Results
The Cohut platform was successfully launched, exceeding expectations. Key results include a 20% increase in customer satisfaction, a 15% reduction in development time, and a 20% faster time-to-market, all achieved through a user-centric design and a robust, efficient design system.
